Becoming a Doctor – My Ultimate Dream Job

To be a doctor is my eventual dream job. I have been dreaming of becoming doctor from my childhood days. And so, one of my hobbies as a child was acting as doctor and doing false surgeries on my toys.

You get to help a lot of people in your everyday life as Doctor that is why it is my ultimate dream job. Saving a patient’s life is a great feeling and it brings satisfaction to my heart. Apart from being a life saving job, giving medication to a patient to get rid of a bad is brings joy to me. I hope you have come across the saying that “It is better to give than to receive”. I have fallen in love with this saying and it gives me every reason to becoming a doctor.

I love school, and I love to become a doctor because of the so many years doctors spend in school. They spend anywhere between 10-15 years of school and medical school to pass and start practicing. The reason why this field interests me so much is the fact that not everyone can become a doctor. And it is my belief that one has to be determined to become a doctor. You have to be in school for 10-15 years and that is a laborious task. People begin to look at you with respect when you tell them that you have passed out as doctor. You earn this respect not because you have been to school but that you are the doctor who may be saving their lives ten years down the lane.

The fact that there are several types of doctors brings my dream of being a doctor alive since I can choose the type of doctor based on my likes. For example, as a lover of children you certainly must be a pediatrician. As person interested in the nerves, being a neurologist would fit perfectly. So can you be a doctor that brings life into the world by receiving babies being born into the world. For each part of the body, they are doctors who have specialized in their treatment and you can become one of the different types. It is all depended on what your interest will direct you to study for.

There is a TV show that inspires me so much called ER. It paints the picture of a doctor being my ultimate dream job so well. It has opened a lot about the medical practice to me and has allowed me to know how interesting being a doctor can be. When I am watching the show with my friends a family, they become horror-struck by the surgeries and operations. Those images always whip up the interest I have in becoming a doctor.
